This is the very first post on my Room 9 learning blog. I am sharing this with the room 9 students to help them as they set up their own learning blogs. As a class, we identified some features that we think will be important for us to create effective blogs:
- Interesting backgrounds
- Setting goals
- Quotes to inspire
- Organising our blogs into categories
- Using imagination
- What we are proud of
- Working as a team
- Talking about our lives outside school
- Like social media
- Showing evidence of our learning through:
- photos
- stories
- videos
- pictures
Now that we have identified these success criteria for our blogs, we will concentrate on one or two of these in each of our ICT sessions as we establish and develop our blogs.
Today (Thursday 3rd September) we will concentrate on the appearance of our blog by finding (or creating our own) interesting backgrounds. We will create an "About Me" page for our blogs which tells our reader who we are, what we like to do at school, how we like to learn in our learning team and some of our other interests, such as sports or music.
